Executive committee. Introducing Manuel Ruiz

manuelManuel is a wildlife veterinarian, graduated from the Universidad Austral de Chile. Before moving to Tasmania in 2014, he worked in research projects related to wild carnivores-livestock conflict, impact of climate change on amphibian populations and ecology of armadillos in Patagonia. During his doctoral research at the University of Tasmania, he has worked in understanding the physiological interactions between the Tasmanian devils and their transmissible cancer (DFTD) and how they may drive evolution between hosts and pathogen in the long term. He collaborates with the Tasmanian team in the general coordination of our conference.
